🏫What Did I Learn Today?

More-often-than not we hear the typical risks of “90% of businesses fail” and the typical mantra of “get a good education, get a safe job so that you can save and one day retire so you can enjoy life.”

This is ironic, because typically this advice is always coming from those who haven’t practiced what they preach. People who are still working, who haven’t retired. Why should we trust it?

Taking time to talk to older folks presents a more pressing concern: regret.

Why? The typical mantra of work → Save → retire in itself is exceptionally risky, and risky with your most valuable asset: time.

The whole plan is dependent on life not having unforeseen crisis like health issues, recessions, and so on and so fourth.

⚒️What Am I Working On?

I’m working on growing the BizGrips Facebook Group. Not sure how yet.

🥡Key Takeaway

The typical mantra of Work → Save → Retire is far more risky than starting a business. It’s a lifelong wager.

🙏What Am I Grateful For?

Good books.
